Faber Ceiling Hood Light Not Working? Here’s What It Usually Ends Up Being
A customer reached out about a Faber ceiling hood where half of the LED lights stopped working. From the outside it didn’t look like a big issue — but once we checked it, the fix was very specific.

A quick story from a normal service call
The customer told us the hood still works, but the lighting doesn’t look right — only part of the lights were on, and the other half was completely dark.
Since this is a premium hood and built into the kitchen ceiling area, it’s not something you want to ignore (and it’s definitely not fun to cook under dim light).
What we found during diagnostic:
After a quick diagnostic, we found the hood has multiple transformers/drivers powering the LED system. In this case, the LED setup is split into sections — and both of the transformers were supplying power, but half of the LED panel stopped working.
✅ The main issue wasn’t wiring.
✅ It wasn’t a power issue.
➡️ It was a failed LED panel / LED power section.

Why this repair isn’t always “just replace a light strip”
This is where Faber is different from a lot of standard hoods. Faber does NOT sell the LED strip separately for many ceiling hood models.
Instead, the LED lights come as a complete LED panel assembly, which means if the LEDs fail — you usually replace the full panel, not one little part.
What we did to fix it (OEM part replacement)
To do the repair correctly, we:
Confirmed the problem is inside the LED power/panel system
Contacted the official Faber distributor
Ordered the original OEM LED panel
Installed the new LED panel and tested everything
After the replacement, the kitchen got the full bright lighting back and everything worked like it should.
Signs your Faber ceiling hood LED panel may be failing
If you have a Faber ceiling hood and notice any of these, it’s usually not random:
One side / one section of light is out
Lights flicker sometimes, then stop
Lights are dim compared to before
One part works, the other part is dark
A quick check you can do in 30 seconds (no tools)
Before calling anyone, here’s a simple check:
✅ Turn the hood lights ON
✅ Try changing brightness levels (if your model has it)
✅ Turn lights OFF → wait 10 seconds → turn back ON
✅Turn breaker OFF for 5 minuted and then back ON
If one side still doesn’t come back — it’s usually not a button issue.
(And if you want, you can send me a quick photo/video showing what is going on.)
If you’re located in Jacksonville, Beaches, Nocatee, St. Johns, Ponte Vedra, or St. Augustine and your Faber ceiling hood LED lights aren’t working, we can help.
We also keep some OEM LED panels in stock for certain models, so the repair may not take long once we confirm the correct part.
Need help with premium hood brands?
Faber is a great hood — but like many premium brands, parts are more specific and repairs have to be done the right way.
If your hood light issue is driving you crazy, reach out and we’ll tell you what’s going on and what your options are.
